British Security Project: Who's Behind the UK's Newest "Patriot" Patrol Group and Who's Paying For It?
A new group of apparent patriots are doing patrols in dover .. but who are they really, and how dangerous are they?
There’s a group calling itself the british secuirty project thats just popped up after an interview surfaced on the internet, and they are already patrolling Dover, Brighton, and Maidstone. They wear branded black vests that resemble almost a police-looking uniform or private security gear.
From first glances at their website, they state that they want 62,000 new “security staff” on British trains by 2035, plus another 65,000 in schools. And you may think that this sounds really good and official, but it’s not because they have no government backing, no legal authority, and no registered company or charity behind it all.
What does BSP actually say they do
BSP’s website likes to argue that there aren’t enough police to go around and points out that Britain only has 3,000 transport police for over 15,000 daily train journeys, so they basically want to fill that gap. They also go on about how they fund training courses so their members can get SIA licenses and about how they carry out “civil arrests” They list their main concerns as grooming gangs, “atheist extremists” (its own term for anti-fascist groups), and attacks on religious buildings. It’s also shared petitions linked to well-known cases, including Henry Nowak’s, and campaigns pushing for tighter immigration rules.
But here’s the scary part: the law that regulates private security in the UK (the Private Security Industry Act 2001 mostly only covers paid security jobs like bodyguards, so volunteer groups like BSP generally fall outside the law, and that is the loophole they look for so they dont get in trouble.
Who’s paying for it?
I looked into where BSP’s money comes from, checked their own website, checked common crowdfunding platforms, and searched Companies House, the UK’s official register of businesses and charities; the result is nothing. BSP doesn’t appear to be a registered company, a registered charity, or a Community Interest Company. There’s no Public accounts filing, no named director, and no disclosed funder.
What their own site does say is that they run on public donations and encourage members to help cover the cost of their own SIA training. So, on the evidence available right now, this looks like a group funded mainly by small donations and membership contributions, rather than by any named backer or organisation.
That lack of any paper trail is worth flagging on its own: a group building towards tens of thousands of recruits, with no registered legal structure and no public accounts, is concerning and makes us wonder what’s really going on behind the scenes.
The people behind it all
Cross-checking BSP’s own social media against footage from the public events shows a small group of people consistently representing it:
Jay Martin (“BSP Jay”) — the main public face and recruiter- regularly credits linked groups like Pink Ladies Kent and Restore Britain.
Tom Manning (“Tommy”) — a regular at patrols and demonstrations.
BSP Alf appears to run BSP’s social media accounts and has posted about “building our own databases” on communities, which is worth watching closely.
BSP Lee is a consistent presence at events in branded gear.
BSP Loulou, one of the few women in a visible recruiting role.
D Clarke is linked to patrols and what BSP calls a “public safety” role.
A wider group of supporters, Shayne Wiskin, Terry Wright, David Alexander, and Andy Duffy who help promote BSP’s content and give it a bigger audience.
BSP also regularly appears alongside a network of local “Patriots” groups (Kent, Essex, Sussex, East Anglia, Yorkshire, Lancashire, and others), plus Restore Britain, Lions Templar, White Vanguard UK, and the women’s group Pink Ladies Kent. On their own, each looks small.
They talk about what type of groups they essentially “go after
This is not a group that has the intention of keeping the general public safe; in fact, this is an organisation that has targets in mind. This is a fascist driven project.
A group branding itself as “security,” recruiting tens of thousands of members, talking about civilian databases and citizens’ arrests, and running with no registered legal structure or disclosure.
Theres lots more to uncover and ill be watching it closely.
